Anadromous adjective: ascending rivers from the sea

I provide quality fly, light tackle, and bait fishing experiences for fishermen of all ages, both on the coast and in the woods of the great state of Maine. Come fish with me and you won't be disappointed!

My name is Zach Whitener and I am a Registered Maine Guide, US Coast Guard licensed captain, and marine biologist. I strive to provide you with a great day on the water. I grew up on the water in Casco Bay and have focused my life around fish in one way or another, starting with fishing for mackerel and stripers as a kid to fishing for lobsters commercially, before picking up fly fishing and a passion for trout, and eventually making a career in fisheries biology. As an avid fishermen of both the salt and the fresh, I like to think that I'm a bit anadromous myself, just like most of the fish I pursue.

My credentials include being a Maine Guide with licensed specialties including Tidewater Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, and Recreation; I hold a Master 50 Ton License from the US Coast Guard, commonly referred to as a captain's license; and I have a Master of Science degree in Marine and Environmental Science. Anadromous Adventures Guide Service is fully insured and I am a member of the Maine Association of Charter Boat Captains, the Professional Maine Guides Association, and Maine Island Trail Association, in addition to being on the board of the Sebago Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
